Sample Tip: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF FIRST.
Coaches can easily get so caught up in helping their clients, learning more, even in "being successful" that they forget to take care of their own personal needs and wants. Remember to always give out of a full cup, with what runs over the side.

Tip: BE VULNERABLE
This tip applies not only for how you might act in a conversation or coaching session - it also applies to the way you can run your business.
For conversations: be sensitive and aware of the impulse of wanting to put up the shields for yourself. At that point examine what story you're telling yourself ("bad things could happen!") and if possible take a leap and be vulnerable with the other person. This will build the other person's trust in you as you are being truly authentic, and will also enable the other person to lower his or her shields.
For business: same idea, different scope. Ask yourself- where in my business am I fearful? What could happen positively if I dropped my defenses around that? What would definitely happen negatively if I dropped my defenses?
If you feel positive to neutral, drop your defenses and see what happens.
The freedom you will gain will be empowering and amazing. Not to mention the freedom you will enable in others.
Take care,
Chris Hutchinson

When working with a new client, you can do no wrong if you start with TOLERATIONS. It's a great way of getting the client moving with some "little wins" and swiftly uncovers the "big 'uns" that are lurking and will make powerful work for the client, going forward. If you follow that up with the "Needsless" and "Tru Values" programmes (available free from www.CoachVille.com I believe, your client will already know more about themselves and how they work than ever before. There's a years worth of coaching right there! Have fun! Cheers Nicola

One of the greatest ways to promote and fill your coaching practice is to do seminars and speaking. People hear you and they can make a decision to use you as the coach. I have written articles on this and will be happy to share.
Keep up the great work!
